Higher Education

Is it really possible to get adults to go back to school after they hit a certain age?  I certainly think so.  I did not go to college directly after high school and went back in my early to mid twenties.  I believe this was the best thing for me.  I was so immature after high school and I didn't have a clue as to what degree I should pursue.  I waited long enough to feel confident with who I was.  I still feel like a kid sometimes but I know my responsibilities need my full attention.  I also believe that if you persuade your children to go to school for this or that, then they will.  I'll let you know if this holds true in about 15 years.  I tell mine everyday that they need to listen more than talk so they can learn more.  Learning is one of the most important things to me and I hope to pass that along to my children.

  1. I didn't finish my first bachelor's degree until 25 years after I started it - when I was over 40.
